Orange Unified Rolls Out App for Parents/Guardians of Bus Pass Holders | El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Orange Lanza la Aplicación Stopfinder para Padres/Tutores de Titulares de Pases de Autobús
Orange, CA — June 24, 2024 — New for the 2024-25 school year, Orange Unified will offer parents and guardians a free app called Stopfinder that will allow them to have information at their fingertips regarding their child(ren)’s bus pick-up and drop-off times and locations, including customized proximity and estimated time of arrival (ETA) notifications. Orange Unified is the first district in Orange County to offer this service to parents.
Stopfinder seamlessly integrates with Orange Unified’s routing system, Routefinder Plus, enabling transportation leaders to streamline communication and send messages tailored to each student and their home-to-school bus route. This ensures that parents are always informed and updated about their child's bus transportation, even in the case of localized issues like road closures.
The app, which is available in English, Spanish, and French, also offers a direct line of communication between subscribers and Orange Unified transportation staff. This feature is designed to make parents feel connected to and involved in their child's transportation.
Primary student contacts — as listed in the Aeries Student Information System — of students who have bus passes will receive an email invitation from the Transportation Department to access their student’s transportation information. Primary contacts may then add additional authorized users if they so choose. Only authorized users have access to their child(ren)’s pick-up and drop-off information.
Z-Pass+, which provided guardians with text notifications when their student got on and off the bus in previous years, will continue to be offered this school year.
“We are proud to provide parents with the option to have on-the-go access to their student’s transportation schedule as well as message staff,” said Transportation Director Christina Celeste-Russo. “With the implementation of Routefinder Plus, we also hope to offer more easily accessible transportation information to our schools and parents districtwide in the future.”

El coñtacto priñcipal del estudiañte, como se iñdica eñ el Sistema de Iñformacioñ Estudiañtil de Aeries, recibira uña iñvitacioñ por correo electro ñico del Departameñto de Trañsporte para acceder a" la iñformacioñ de trañsporte de su estudiañte. A coñtiñuacioñ, este coñtacto priñcipal puede agregar usuarios autorizados adicioñales. Solo los usuarios autorizados teñdrañ acceso a los detalles de recogida y eñtrega.
