How do I see answered questions on IXL? ›

Scroll down to find the IXL accomplishments section. Here, you'll see an overview of the student's IXL usage (questions answered, time spent, skills practiced) and a breakdown of math and ELA skills they've worked on. Pro Tip: Hover over the pie chart to see how many skills have been practiced in each strand!

Students will need to answer as many as 10 questions correctly in a row to achieve mastery. For most skills on IXL, students will have to complete a minimum of 28 questions to earn a SmartScore of 100. When a student achieves a score of 100 on IXL, you can feel confident that they have truly mastered that skill.

IXL diagnostic numbers represent where students are in terms of grade levels. A level of 740 represents a student having learned 40% of the 7th grade skills.

To get a feel for an IXL subject, you can try 10 free questions per day. For each skill, you'll see each student's SmartScore, questions answered, time spent, and date of their last practice session—especially useful to monitor practice results for skills you assigned. Questions Log: This report gives you the full log of the exact questions a student has answered for an individual skill.

This makes it easier for teachers to reuse quizzes, whether they assign the same quiz to different classes, give students the chance to retake a quiz, or reuse a quiz later in the year when preparing for state assessments.

Lack of Personalization: Another issue with IXL is its one-size-fits-all approach. It does not consider individual student needs or different learning styles. As a result, learners who require additional support or those who excel in certain areas may feel frustrated or unchallenged respectively.

Grade level guide: 100 = 1st grade, 200 = 2nd grade, 300 = 3rd grade, 400 - 4th grade, 500 = 5th grade, 600 = 6th grade, 700 = 7th grade, 800 = 8th grade, and 900 = 9th grade. By clicking on the IXL image above or the word IXL, students will be forwarded to the log in page.

For example, a score of 350 indicates that a student understands about 50% of 3rd-grade material and a score of 400 indicates readiness to begin working on 4th-grade skills. These levels range from 0-1300, with 0-50 representing pre-K, 50-100 kindergarten, and 1300 representing the end of 12th grade.

Fourth grade is displayed as Level F.

After detecting inactivity for a certain amount of time, the timer pauses. It resumes when the student starts practicing again. Depending on your student's grade level, it will take two, four, or six minutes of inactivity for the timer to pause.

Consider your learning style: If your child is a visual learner, then you may prefer Khan Academy's videos and articles. The Real-Time Diagnostic is always available; students can enter the Diagnostic at any time and answer as many questions as they like.

To view or print the Diagnostic action plans, go to Analytics, and click Diagnostic. For the Diagnostic action plans for your entire roster, click the to the right of “Individual student levels and recommendations.”
