DayState Huntsman Revere ft/lbs rating. 30 or 40 ft/lbs? (2024)

Sorry the image is big but otherwise it might not be readable.

So I am still seriously considering the huntsman revere and wanted to have the option of an up to 40ft/lbs rifle given I am going PAL this time around.

I see it's rated at 30 or 40ft/lbs on it's site but last I checked it didn't have a knob or anything to adjust the power on the rilfe, so how does this work?

Are there two versions of the rifle in .22, or do they just mean with slugs vs without? What are they saying here to get the two values from one rifle?!

Any help is appreciated!

I will also just say I am disappointed that the cylinder is so small, even the dreamline lite had a larger capacity cylinder and given I will be handpumping it at least some of the time I would value the extra shot count but moving from the tx200 I am just thankful the rifle will be a lot lighter haha.

So seems like according to Daystate it's actually two different models and you can choose when you (a distributor or direct buyer) make the purchase if you want the 30 or the 40ft/lbs version.

AGS lists theirs as the 30 so that must be the case. A little disappointing but that's life I guess.

I own the 30 foot pound-version in .22 -hands down the best rifle in my collection, and a beautiful work of art to boot!

I'm thinking at 40 foot-pounds, you'd be needing to run heavyweight pellets, lest you approach velocities with lighter grains where pellets become aerodynamically unstable. Was there a specific reason why you'd want a 40 foot-pound rifle in .22? If hunting is your thing, then .25 would be another option.

In any case, the Revere or any Huntsman for that matter, is a spectacular rifle that simply oozes quality in every regard. Can't go wrong, worth the premium price. If I had to give up my entire collection and keep just one rifle, the Daystate would be the one.

Those are bold words and make me feel a little better to be honest! With luck my 30lbs Hunstman revere in .22 should be arriving tomorrow, and I am still feeling the sticker shock, but am very excited!

I have been gaming with some army "bros" on Escape from Tarkov (lovely gun simulation and customization stuff!) anyway most of them make fun of me for getting a license just to shoot and purchase an air rifle... doubly so when I tell them how much I spent on this one. (and I still haven't got a scope yet... YIKES! I'll likely pull my bug buster from the TX200 and put it on the new high sports match rings and hope for the best. A sin I know to put a cheap scope on such a nice rifle.)

I keep telling them what I save in ammo alone makes it worth it! Plus I don't need a powder rifle for paper punching.

I am also about to move back to Halifax of course... as soon as I got a nice PCP I am moving to a place that has fewer places to shoot. Figures eh?
